As a puppy Swirl was the cutest merley fluff of fur I had ever seen. Much to my delight and entertainment she demonstrated her keen intelligence as my first puppy training experiment using a clicker. She enjoyed the clicker and would offer so many cute behaviors with such enthusiasm! I only wish I could have captured some of her cute puppy tricks for You Tube. She had the fastest puppy back up across the kitchen floor that I've ever seen as she would scoot backwards in a little pile of merlie fluff. I still laugh as I picture her doing this for me before I would leave for work in the morning.
She has grown into a lovely merlie girlie with that same affection, enthusiasm and intelligence. She has the size and body type that I love for agility. She is very agile, athletic and has a very long stride length yet can turn on a dime. Her intelligence and enthusiasm for training is wonderful and a great asset in training. Most of all she loves to be my buddy and when I let my dogs in the house from running in the pasture, she is always the first to circle back with a big grin on her face to say "Hi Mom, how was your day, let me just hang out with you" She is a great cuddle bunny in bed and stretches out full length to enjoy watching TV with me, yet when we go out to train, she has a great "on" switch with her enthusiasm and joy of learning and pleasing me.
Thank you Jan for letting Swirlie Merlie come into my life.
